Can you please explain Madonna of the Rocks?

What was the controversy? And can you relate It to Why da Vinci Re made Madonna to the Virgin?

Your question isn’t very clear. The main “controversy” from an art-historical point of view concerns the extent of Leonardo’s authorship in both paintings — how much of one of them might have been painted by assistants — and whether the subject was initially intended to be different.

As for other controversies, if you’re referring to Dan Brown and “The Da Vinci Code,” please be assured that Dan Brown (and the people from which he borrowed some material) simply made up their ideas. They are fictional, not real.

“Virgin” and “Madonna” are just two names for Mary, the mother of Jesus.
